The anticipation comes shortly after I awake
The thought of you warms my heart and brings a smile to my
face
As I prepare for my day, I think of you

I can almost hear the familiar sounds of where we’ll meet

I pull into the spot
Where my car will sit
As we meet for the first time today
As I enter the room
Excitement rushes through me
I walk briskly to her
We speak quickly and specifically
I smile as I wait for you to arrive
There you are
I have been waiting for what seems like years
Yet it hasn’t been more than 24 hours
I grasp you, I hold you
I feel your warmth
I pull you to my mouth, slightly open my lips
And taste you
You taste sweet and bitter
I prepare for the caffeine to hit me
I am in my happy place
I am in latte’ heaven
